I like Superman. But I LOVE Batman.

Why? Because with enough money – to make all the amazing Bat-toys – I *could* be Batman!

Lucky for me, I can also pretend to be Batman for Halloween!

Here are some pretty easy – more or less – and fairly inexpensive Batman and Superman costume ideas for this Halloween!

Remember, just about all Super Heroes point to Jesus, the ultimate Super Hero.If your kids are dressing up as their favorite superhero, remind them that Super Heroes pint to Jesus because they show us Philippines 2.

Instead of being motivated by selfish ambition or vanity, each of you should, in humility, be moved to treat one another as more important than yourself. Each of you should be concerned not only about your own interests, but about the interests of others as well.
Philippines 2:3-4

Ok, I may have underestimated how hard Batman would be! Most of what I found is SUPER detailed and a quite difficult. That said, the folks over at WikiHow give some good ideas for the black and classic gray versions of the dark night. Check them out!

Superman

While most superheroes point to Jesus and Philippians 2, Superman is one of the best!

  • He is not of this world.
  • His father sent him to Earth.
  • He is more than human (not of this world) but also very human.
  • He uses his powers for good – truth, justice, and the American Way.
  • In both the comics and in the movies, Superman is willing to sacrifice himself to save mankind!
  • In both the comics and in the movies, Superman is “resurrected” from the dead!

Talk about these ideas – and how Jesus is the greatest superhero – while you make these costumes. Be sure to read Philippians 2:3-4.
